Therapy Services
Child & Youth Support
I have extensive experience providing psychological therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Working with young people and the adults who support them has been my focus area since I first started in the profession.
I utilise a family-centred approach where parents/caregivers are involved where appropriate in the therapeutic process with their child/teenager. I really enjoy connecting with young people and the sense of fun, creativity and hope I often experience working with them.
In particular, I have a special interest in anxiety disorders, adjustment issues, complex trauma, developmental concerns, and autism.
Parenting Support
We all know how hard being a parent is! I love working with parents to look after their own wellbeing while also helping their children. Increasing parent confidence and improving parent-child relationships lights me up! I believe this is a space where real change can happen for improving the mental health and wellbeing of future generations.
I have completed in-depth training and professional development in the parenting area. My approach is down-to-earth and compassionate. I’m in the thick of parenting young children myself and get how tough it is!
Perinatal Support
Since becoming a mother myself, I have developed a deep desire to support parents throughout the perinatal period. This often refers to the time during pre-conception, pregnancy, and up until three years postpartum.
Pregnancy, birth and welcoming a new baby into your family is a unique and special time. However, these major life transitions can also be incredibly challenging. It is a time of huge change across all aspects of life.
Intrusive thoughts and feelings of overwhelm, inadequacy, anxiety, depression, irritability and exhaustion are common. If you are struggling, then please know that you are not alone and that support is available. I feel very passionately about supporting parents’ mental health through providing sensitive emotional support, useful resources, and evidence-based therapies. Parents of babies are very welcome to bring their little ones to appointments with me.

What to Expect
Together we will complete a thorough assessment to gain a shared understanding of your concerns. In particular, we will identify the factors that have led to (and continue to maintain) the challenges that have brought you and/or your child to therapy, as well as your unique strengths. Once we develop a shared understanding of why the challenges are occurring, we can create a more targeted and tailored approach to therapy.
From there, we will work collaboratively to develop a personalised treatment plan using strategies supported by research. I draw upon several therapeutic frameworks, and together we can discuss which may suit you and/or your child best.
My priority throughout therapy is to make you and/or your child feel heard, understood and respected. I aim to be sensitive to client’s needs and build a warm, supportive therapeutic relationship.
For children and adolescents, it is often helpful for me to work alongside other adults who support the young person (including parents, other family members, teachers, and medical/allied health professionals). Where appropriate, I involve parents/caregivers in therapy sessions – this is especially important when working with young children.
At each appointment, we will track your progress to ensure you or your child’s wellbeing is improving over the course of therapy. If things are not going as expected, then we will talk about different ways to get you back on-track to reaching your goals.
